Beirut: Pompeii (New EP?)

As I was trolling through emusic today, I came across what looks like a new EP from Beirut. Released by Ba Da Bing Records, Pompeii is definitely a departure from their LP Gulag Orkestar.
There are two songs on this release: "Fountains and Tramways" and "Napoleon on the Bellerophon." In "Fountains and Tramways," Beirut breaks out the synth and drum machine, in addition to piano and of course his trademark vox. I really like how this song came out; Zach Condon's voice sounds really pleasant and mellow over the drums and makes for a very atmospheric song. "Napoleon on the Bellerophone" is more like the songs that you can find on Gulag Orkestar. It starts out with a solo piano and Zach's voice, and gradually builds up with the addition of horns and shaker.

But I'm a big fan and supporter of emusic, so please go here to download the whole EP.
