Feist In NY Times!
It was a pleasant surprise (or was it?) this morning to see Ms. Leslie Feist in the NY Times. The article mostly talks about her latest album, The Reminder, her collaborations, and her up-and-coming music star status on the international scene."ON the way to the video shoot for a song named "1234," Leslie Feist called her father on her cellphone, urging him to drop by the studio. "I’m going to dance like in ‘Fame,’” bubbled Feist, a petite 31-year-old brunette who uses her last name for her solo recording career. 'I’m going to be carried around on the shoulders of 50 people, like Madonna in ‘Material Girl,’ only minus the pearls and the back muscles.'"Read More...Also, here's an audio interview with Feist and Jon Pareles: click here (it's downloadable)
And in case you missed it, here is Feist's new music video for "1234" featuring a bunch of dancing Crayola crayons (ha!). I wish I had a posse of four dozen dancers at my disposal! What also makes this video amazing is that it is done all in one camera shot.
