Arctic Monkeys @ Hammerstein Ballroom

I was anxious to see the Arctic Monkeys after their Coachella set, because they sounded so good, which was surprising to me since I wasn't the biggest Arctic Monkeys fan. So, last night [May 15th], I went on down to Hammerstein Ballroom to check it out. I got there a couple songs in, but the energy in the crowd was just contagious. Crazy kids were crowd surfing, everyone on the floor had their hands up, and it was just a fun and sweaty atmosphere. Crowd favorites include "Brianstorm," "From Ritz To Rubble," "I Bet You Look Good On the Dancefloor," "When the Sun Goes Down," and "Leave Before the Lights Come On." The band sounded really good, and they're really tight. I just wish that they would go a little more crazy on stage, that's all. Otherwise, fun show!
