Fountains of Wayne: "Someone To Love" Video
Umm, if you've seen me at all in the past few weeks, you'd know that "Someone To Love" by Fountains of Wayne is one of my new favorite songs. When then synths come in halfway through the chorus of "Uhs" and "Yeahs," I cannot help but throw my arms up and shake my booty. Truly. It's an uncontrollable reaction.
So you can imagine my excitement for the music video, which stars Demitri Martin and Faryl Millet.

Fountains of Wayne - Someone To Love
It's a fun video and all, especially the dancing scenes, but it's decidedly less funny than I thought it would be. I'm a little disappointed. It's basically a narrative of the song, following Seth Shapiro [Martin] and Beth McKinsey [Millet].
Also, I'm disappointed that I've missed seeing them live three times in the last two weeks: the Apple Store performance, the Webster Hall show and the Coachella set. Actually, I don't blame myself for missing the Coachella set cause they played at 2:30, and if you were actually there in Indio, then you would know why a 2:30 set was near impossible to get to.
The last time I saw them was at Summerstage three summers ago, when they played with Ben Kweller. It was raining pretty much the whole time, but I thought both of them put on solid sets despite the obvious setbacks. So how were they live here in New York? Or at Coachella? Tell me so that I can live vicariously through you.
