Tribeca/ASCAP Music Lounge

For those of you lucky enough to hold a badge to the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival, you'll be able to see some great artists at the Tribeca/ASCAP Music Lounge.

The Tribeca/ASCAP Music Lounge will be located at the Canal Room. The press release says that it will be open to "select badge members only." Whatever that means...Doors will open at 230PM daily from May 1st through May 4th.

Here's what we know for this year so far:

Fountains Of Wayne's Adam Schlesinger with the Candy Butchers' Mike Viola, the Posies' Jon Auer, Donovan, the Frames' Glen Hansard, Rhett Miller and the Slip are among the acts confirmed to perform as part of the 2007 Tribeca/ASCAP Music Lounge, which runs May 1-4 at the Canal Room concurrently with the Tribeca Film Festival in New York.

Jimmy Webb, Mary Gauthier, Kenna, Cass MCcombs, Alice Smith, Martha Wainwright, the Slip, Yerba Buena and Matt White are also on the bill for the series.

Not as solid a line-up as last year's, but still intriguing. Personally, I would definitely try and catch Adam Schlesinger & Mike Viola, Yerba Buena, Martha Wainwright and Rhett Miller.
