Interpol @ Bowery Ballroom

Interpol created quite the atmosphere last night [June 5th] at Bowery Ballroom. With 10 or 12 black light light bulbs hanging from the ceiling, a couple of lights with blue and red and white bulbs, and a of couple blue and red spotlights, the room was mostly dark. It was really the prefect setting in which to see a band like Interpol.

Playing the hits from both Antics and Turn On The Bright Lights, crowd favorites last night included "Obstacle 1," "Slow Hands" and their closer "PDA." The band sounds really tight, with no weak spot at all. I'm really loving the new single, "The Heinrich Maneuver," and it came off really well live. And Carlos D, the "self-styled ladies man" of the band, definitely lives up to his reputation. I'm digging the 'stache D, don't change it!

Here's the set list, courtesy of The Music Slut:

"Pioneer To The Falls"
"Obstacle 1"
"NARC"
"Say Hello To The Angels"
"Take You On A Cruise"
"Mammoth"
"Slow Hands"
"Leif Erikson"
"The Heinrich Maneuver"
"Evil"
"Not Even Jail"
Encore:"Length Of Love"
"Stella Was A Diver And She Was Always Down"
"PDA"

Our Love to Admire is out on July 10th. Pre-order it at Insound.
