New Rosewood Thieves Demo - "Mad Man"

I saw the Rosewood Thieves at a brunch at The Living Room during CMJ and was really impressed. I love their folk rock/alt country sound, and find it hard to believe that its coming from NY natives.

On their myspace, they put up a new demo called "Mad Man." It sounds like a rough mix, but it seems like it has a lot of potential. For most of the song, its just bare vocals, an acoustic guitar, drums and a little piano. His voice is just so hypnotizing, filled with angst and yearning. Love it.

If you wanna see them live, they're playing a show at Tonic at the end of the month.

March 29th - Tonic, 9PM - NYC

Also, word on the street is that V2 dropped them. Anyone know what they are doing now? Are they still free agents?
